Setting up Recordstake as a vendor
Everything a finance office asks for when standing up a new vendor record — stated here so a purchase order doesn't have to wait on an email round-trip.
Legal name, entity, and address
Northline Standard LLC, doing business as Recordstake, a Utah limited liability company. "Recordstake" is Northline Standard LLC's registered Utah assumed name (DBA) — the same legal entity, so an invoice or proposal signed "Recordstake" and a W-9 issued to "Northline Standard LLC" name the same taxpayer.

Purchase orders and payment
We accept a public agency's purchase order: send it to contact@recordstake.com and we invoice on receipt, net 30. Card payment in advance, through Stripe, is also accepted if that's simpler for your process — either way, nothing is charged until the engagement is confirmed.
Utah sales tax
Our services are not a transaction Utah sales and use tax applies to. Utah Code §59-12-103 taxes a specific list of transaction types — retail sales of tangible personal property, telecommunications, utilities, prepared food, admissions and amusements, repairs to tangible personal property, hotel and short-term lodging, laundry and dry cleaning, leases of tangible personal property, and a handful of others — and a document accessibility inventory or remediation engagement is not on that list. There is no sales tax to add to an invoice from us, and no sales-tax license or exemption certificate to provide, because none is required for this kind of work.
